  • Edit or delete an opportunity note

Open the opportunity, find the note in the activity history and use the options menu (⋮) on its row. The menu has Edit and Delete — and it works for any manually logged activity (note, call, WhatsApp, meeting), not just notes.

    Before you start

    • Who can: the author of the note edits and deletes their own; the workspace owner and admin edit and delete any note. Other roles don't see the menu. See what each role can do in the permissions table.
    • Older notes, created before authorship started being recorded, can only be edited or deleted by the owner and admins.
    • Deletion cannot be undone from the interface.

    Edit a note

    1. Open the opportunity — from the card on the pipeline or its direct link.
    2. On the Information tab, find the note in the activity history (or use the Notes tab).
    3. Hover the row and click the options menu (⋮) next to the time.
    4. Click Edit, adjust the text in the Edit activity window and confirm with Save.

The new text replaces the old one in the history, with an (edited) mark next to it. Editing is versioned: each previous text is kept with its date — nothing is lost, even after several edits. To review the versions, click View change history (N) next to the (edited) mark; the Change history panel shows each previous version, newest first. Close it with the X or Hide history.

    Delete a note

    1. In the same options menu (⋮) of the note, click Delete.
    2. Read the Delete activity window and confirm with Delete. To back out, click Cancel.

The activity leaves the opportunity history immediately.

At the bottom of the opportunity panel sit three buttons — New note, Next action and Appointment — in the same spot where the contact panel shows Add contact. They do not scroll with the history: they have their own space below it, so you read to the end and record right there, without going back to the top.

    • New note opens the editor right there, in the footer.
    • Next action and Appointment each open their own window.

If the opportunity has no contact linked yet, Appointment takes you to the link-contact screen first — with nobody on the other side there is no meeting to book.

    If it didn't work

    • The options menu (⋮) doesn't show on the note → you are not the author and your role is not owner or admin. Check No permission.
    • You see Could not save the edit or Could not delete the activity → the note stays as it was. Try again; if it persists, check the error codes.
    • The menu shows on some activities but not others → only manually logged activities can be edited or deleted. Automatic history events (stage moves, messages, purchases) are a record of what happened and cannot be changed.
