  • English
  • Delete an opportunity

    Open the opportunity, use the options menu (⋮) in the top right corner and click Delete opportunity. A window asks for confirmation before anything is deleted — clicking the menu item on its own deletes nothing.

    Before you start

    • Workspace role: owner, admin or editor. Anyone else does not see Delete opportunity in the menu. Check what each role can do in the permissions table.
    • Deleting cannot be undone from the interface. There is no trash and no restore button.

    Steps

    1. Open the opportunity — from its card on the pipeline or from its direct link.
    2. In the top right corner of the panel, click the options menu (⋮).
    3. Click Delete opportunity, the last item in the menu. It is red, has a bin icon and sits below a divider that separates it from the other actions.
    4. Read the Delete opportunity window and confirm with Delete. To back out, click Cancel or close the window.

    The opportunity leaves the pipeline, the panel closes and you go back to the board. If you were on the opportunity's own page, you go back to its pipeline.

    What happens to linked data

    Deleting the opportunity does not erase what was linked to it. These stay on the contact:

    • the activity history;
    • tasks and scheduled calls;
    • proposals;
    • attached files.

    What changes is that the opportunity no longer shows on the pipeline or in opportunity lists, and stops counting towards reports and the closing forecast.

    Delete from the board, without opening the opportunity

    On the pipeline, the card's own options menu (⋮) also has Delete, with the same confirmation and the same permissions. Use that path when you do not need to open the opportunity first.

    If it did not work

    • Delete opportunity is missing from the menu → your role cannot delete. Check No permission and the permissions table.
    • You see Could not delete the opportunity → the opportunity is still on the pipeline. Try again; if it keeps failing, check the error codes.
    • You deleted it by mistake → it cannot be restored from the interface. The contact and its full history are untouched; create a new opportunity for the same contact.
