Where do I see the short links from my messages?
Open Short links, in the Links group of the Marketing section of the menu. The screen lists every link your messages shortened, with how many people received it, how many clicked and the click rate of each one. Open a link to see where it was sent, where it is still set up and who clicked.
Short links are created automatically: every https:// link in a message becomes a short link when the message is sent or when you paste the link in the editor. You don't need to create anything on this screen.
Before you start
- The screen only shows links after the first message sent with a link. See how to know who clicked the link I sent.
- For a link with an address you choose (e.g.
/promo), use Redirects.
Steps
- In the menu, open Marketing and, in the Links group, click Short links. You can also find the screen in the search bar at the top.
- Pick the period in the date picker. The numbers at the top, the chart and the table columns only count the chosen period:
- Recipients: how many people received the link.
- Clicks: every visit counts. The same person opening it twice adds two.
- Unique clicks: how many different people clicked.
- Click rate: unique clicks divided by recipients. Shows — when the link had no recipients in the period.
- To find a link, use Search by link or destination and the Status and Domain filters. Clickmax is the platform domain; the others are the domains you connected.
- To sort the table, click the arrows on Created at, Recipients, Clicks or Click rate. Clicking again reverses the order.
- Click a link to open its details:
- Where it is used → Where it was sent shows the broadcasts and automations that already delivered the link, with recipients and clicks for each. Click an item to open the broadcast or automation. Individual messages and support adds up messages sent one by one (LiveChat, contact profile and API) and takes you to the Clicks tab.
- Where it is used → Where it is set up shows automations, pending broadcasts, templates and funnels that will still send this link.
- Clicks shows who clicked: contact, channel, source and when.
Block a link
Use it when a link is wrong or was shared where it shouldn't be.
- In the link details, click Block link and confirm with Block.
- Within 1 minute, anyone opening the link sees an error page (404) instead of the destination.
- The next messages from the items in Where it is set up are sent without this link. Review those items before blocking.
Clicks already recorded stay saved. To undo, click Reactivate link: within 1 minute the link leads to the destination again.
What doesn't show up yet
- Clicks from people who opened the link without receiving the message (for example, a forwarded link) are not counted.
- Old sends, made before each person got their own code in the link, may show no recipients.
- The chart shows periods of up to 1 year.
