  • Integrate Hotmart

Create the integration in Clickmax with the webhook Hottok and a Hotmart API credential (Client ID and Client Secret), then register the generated URL in the Hotmart webhook. From then on, every event carrying an email creates or updates a contact (tagged hotmart), approved purchases become sales in Clickmax, and you can sell through Hotmart right on your pages with the Hotmart Checkout block.

    Before you start

    • Workspace role: Owner, Admin, Editor or Collaborator. Finance, Guest and Attendant have no access to Integrations.
    • Admin access to your Hotmart account, to open Tools → Webhook (API and notifications) and Tools → Hotmart Credentials.

    Step by step

    1. In Clickmax, open Integrations, click Explore Integrations and choose Hotmart under Sales and Payments.
    2. In another tab, sign in to Hotmart. In the sidebar, open Tools → View all → Webhook (API and notifications). In the Authentication section, copy the Verification Hottok and paste it into the Verification Hottok field in Clickmax.
    3. In Hotmart, go back to Tools → View all and open Hotmart Credentials. Click Create credential and create a production credential — do not check Sandbox.
    4. Copy the credential Client ID and Client Secret and paste them into the fields with the same names in Clickmax.
    5. Give the integration a Name, leave the Status active and click Create integration. Clickmax checks the credential with Hotmart before creating it.
    6. Clickmax generates a webhook URL. Copy it.
    7. In Hotmart, go to Tools → View all → Webhook (API and notifications) → Register webhook. Paste the URL into the URL field and choose version 2.0.0.
    8. Under Products, choose All (or the products you will sell through Clickmax). Under Events, check every purchase event (approved, complete, canceled, refunded, chargeback, delayed, expired and awaiting payment — Pix or billet generated and not paid yet), cart abandonment, subscription cancellation and plan switch.
    9. Save the webhook in Hotmart, then click Complete integration in Clickmax.

The Hottok travels in the x-hotmart-hottok header of every delivery: if it does not match the Hottok you registered, Clickmax rejects the delivery.

The API credential is what lets you pick the product and the offer in the Hotmart Checkout block of the page editor. Clickmax renews the API access on its own; you only need a new credential if you delete this one in Hotmart.

    If it didn't work

    • Nothing reaches Clickmax and Hotmart reports a failure (401): the registered Verification Hottok does not match your account, the integration status is inactive, or the webhook is not on version 2.0.0. Check all three.
    • The integration is not created and an invalid credential error shows up: the Client ID and Client Secret do not match a Hotmart credential. Copy both again from Tools → Hotmart Credentials.
    • The integration is not created and it says the credential cannot read products: the credential is a Sandbox one. Create a production credential and use its Client ID and Client Secret.
    • My Hotmart integration is old and the editor does not list my products: integrations created before the API credential was required only have the Hottok. In the Hotmart Checkout block, type the offer code, or create the integration again following the steps above.
    • The sale appears but the contact does not: events without the buyer's email are ignored — Clickmax needs the email to resolve the contact.
    • You cannot find the Integrations menu: your workspace role has no access. See no permission.
