How do I block a time on a single date?
Under Date overrides, inside an attendant's availability settings, you can close a time range (or the whole day) on a specific date, without touching the usual weekly hours. An exception with a time range blocks that range — it does not add extra hours on top of the normal schedule.
Before you start
- Role: to edit another attendant's availability you need to be Owner or Admin. Anyone can edit their own availability.
- Where to find it: in CRM Settings → Attendants, open the attendant and click the Availability tab — it has two parts, Weekly hours and Date overrides. The same panel also opens from the gear icon in the new task or new meeting modal, next to All day (see Book any time and duration).
Add an exception
- On the Date overrides tab, pick the date.
- Check Unavailable all day, or enter the start and end time of the block.
- Click Add exception.
The exception shows up in the list with a line describing what it does: Unavailable all day or Unavailable from [start] to [end]. To undo it, use Remove exception.
What a timed exception does
It blocks the range you entered — nobody can book there, neither inside the CRM nor through the public page. Before, a timed exception did the opposite: it added that range as extra hours, on top of the weekly schedule. If you had exceptions of that older kind, they were converted to blocks — what used to open up an extra hour now closes one instead.
Several exceptions on the same day
Every exception set for a date is respected at the same time. If, together, they cover the whole business hours of that day, the day disappears from the public booking page — there is no time left to offer.
Where the block shows up
- On the agenda inside the New task and New meeting modals, the blocked range shows up marked — see Book any time and duration.
- In the suggested free times (the Free times button), the blocked range is already discounted: a suggestion never falls inside it.
- On the public booking page, the blocked time simply does not show up as an option.

If it did not work
- The Availability tab does not show up → your role does not have access to that attendant. See what to do when you lack permission.
- You set an exception and the time is still available → check the date and the range in the list; an end time before the start is not accepted.
- Two exceptions on the same day with overlapping times → the CRM warns "Overlapping or repeated ranges on the same day" and does not save; adjust the times so they do not overlap.
