How do I get Instagram and Facebook lead form leads into my Contacts?
Go to Traffic → Lead forms, pick the Page, click Refresh forms and turn the form on. From then on, everyone who submits the form of an Instagram or Facebook ad becomes a Clickmax contact within seconds, with the origin Meta lead form and the ad and campaign that brought them.
Before you start
- Meta connected under Traffic → Connections, with the Page checked in the authorization — see How do I connect my ad account to Clickmax?.
- Whoever connected Meta must be a Page admin with access to its leads. If the connection predates lead forms, reconnect Meta to authorize lead access.
- A workspace role that manages the Traffic area. View-only roles see forms and leads but can't turn them on or edit them.
Turn on a form
- Under Traffic → Lead forms, in the Pages and forms tab, click Refresh forms on the Page. The list shows the forms created on Meta, with their number of questions.
- Turn on the form's switch. The first time, the Connect form window opens.
- Under Where each answer goes, check the destination of each question. Name, email and phone come pre-suggested; custom questions go to a contact custom field. Choose Don't save to drop an answer.
- Under Tags, type the contact's tags, separated by commas.
- Under Older leads from this form, choose Only new ones or Import the last 90 days.
- Click Turn on form.
To change destinations or tags later, click Fields on the form. Turning the switch off stops bringing leads in; they stay on Meta only.
What reaches Contacts
If the email or phone already belongs to a contact, the lead goes into that contact instead of creating another. The origin is only set on new contacts.
Leads imported from the last 90 days come in without triggering automations, so nobody gets a late welcome message. New leads trigger contact-created and tag-applied automations as usual.
Follow the leads
The Received leads tab lists each lead with the form, the ad, where it was submitted and its status:
Common issues
- A new form doesn't show up: click Refresh forms on the Page. Leads from forms that haven't been read yet don't come in.
- Custom field left empty: the answer goes to the field with the chosen name only if it exists among contact custom fields. Create the field or pick another destination in Fields.
- Connection expired on the Page: reconnect Meta under Traffic → Connections.
