Can I offer payment in instalments?
Yes. On credit card you set the maximum number of instalments (up to 12, for example) on the product's offer.
- Open the product and edit the offer.
- Under Credit card, set the Number of instalments.
- Under Default instalment, choose which option the checkout pre-selects.
Instalments on a subscription
On a subscription offer the instalments cannot exceed the gap between two charges — otherwise they would overlap the next charge. The cap follows the Billing frequency you picked on the offer:
If you pick a number above the frequency's cap, the offer is saved with the highest allowed value. A monthly subscription never splits: the checkout shows the full amount only, with no instalment selector.
The same applies to the whole order: if the buyer adds a monthly subscription order bump on top of the main offer, the entire order becomes a single payment — it is charged in one transaction, so the most restrictive item wins.
Amount shown on the upsell and downsell checkout
On the upsell and downsell checkout, the summary next to the buy button shows the instalment amount when the purchase is split — for example, the value of each of the 12 instalments. On a single payment, that same summary shows the order total.
To change the number of instalments, the buyer clicks the instalment count in that summary and picks another option; the amount shown follows the choice.

If it didn't work
- The instalment option only exists on credit card — Pix and Boleto are paid in full. Check the payment method in Sales.
- The checkout shows no instalment selector on a subscription: check the offer's Billing frequency. Monthly is always a single payment, and the other frequencies cap the instalments as in the table above.
No instalments available. The minimum amount per instalment is R$5.00.→ the offer price is too low for that number of instalments. Raise the price or lower the instalments.- Without a registered seller the payment is not processed: see Seller registration.
