What does "Subscription status" mean?
The Status column shows where each customer's subscription stands on a subscription offer:
- Paid subscription — the recurring charge is up to date.
- Trial — the customer is within the free days and has not been charged yet.
- Trial expired — the free days ended without conversion, or a charge on an active subscription failed and is waiting to be settled.
- Cancelled — the subscription has ended and there will be no further charges.
Watching this status helps you anticipate cancellations (churn) and act before you lose the customer.
Subscriptions with free days
While the customer is within the trial period the subscription shows Trial and is not counted as overdue — nothing has been charged yet, so there is no late payment.
The free days are counted from that customer's purchase date. When the period ends:
You can filter the list by Trial to see who is still testing, and by Trial expired to work on recovering those who did not convert.
