Can I see a contact's message and interaction history?
Yes. Open the contact to see the full timeline of interactions: messages sent and received, email opens, clicks, purchases and moves between funnel stages. This history helps you understand engagement and personalise your next approach.
Subscriptions with free days
When someone subscribes to an offer with free days, the timeline shows the Trial started activity, with how many free days were granted and the first charge date.
Because nothing is charged at that moment, this activity does not appear as a purchase — the purchase only enters the history when the first charge is approved, at the end of the trial period.
You also get an in-app notification letting you know a new trial has started. To turn this alert on or off, use your account's notification preferences.
Where the timeline shows up
The same timeline appears in four places, and looks the same in all of them:
- on the contact, under the Activities tab;
- on the opportunity, both in the side panel and on its own page;
- in the inbox, under Quick access → History;
- on the attendant panel, under the Activities tab.
Only the scope changes from one place to another: on the contact you see everything that happened to that person, while on the opportunity you see that deal's events plus the ones from the linked contact.
How to read each row
- Activities are grouped by day, with a header showing today, yesterday or the date.
- Each row starts with a coloured icon for the type — note, tag, stage change, booking, message, next action, purchase and others. The same type always gets the same icon and colour, on any screen.
- The time it happened sits on the right. Hover it to see how long ago that was.
- Next to the time is the avatar of whoever did it. If it was an attendant, hover to see their summary. System and automation actions are identified too.
- When an opportunity is marked won or lost, the row is highlighted in green or red, with the loss reason called out.
Inside an opportunity, a yellow triangle next to the time means that activity belongs to the contact and did not happen in that particular deal.
Conversation reading (AI)
When the AI changes how it reads an ongoing conversation, the timeline gets a Conversation reading activity, with the dimension that changed in the title — intent, sentiment or urgency.
The row shows:
- the previous and the new value, as Question → Purchase;
- the channel the conversation happened on;
- the reason the AI gave for the change;
- a View the message behind it link, which opens the inbox already scrolled to the message responsible. On older conversations, without that reference stored, the link does not show up.
Only confirmed changes enter the history — the AI's intermediate readings are left out so the timeline stays readable.
